My story

My name is Nina Martikainen and Life In Colour was born in 2024 out of my desire to provide people with fun, handmade, unique and colourful items for their homes. 

After 15+ years at Google in London and Helsinki, I started studying interior design and joinery with the aim of realising my dream of doing something creative for a living. Cue a few months of hard work and lots of prototyping, and my first small furniture collection was ready in November 2024.

Since then, my collection has grown to include playful art, which I've been lucky enough to display in small galleries and cafes across southern Finland. Follow me on Instagram to see where my next exhibition is!
