The front door creaked, the key turned, and you could hear tiny feet thudding down the hall, arms flung wide, and a squeal that could melt steel. The Big One barely has time to drop the shopping bag (which may or may not contain suspiciously crinkly snacks) before they’re caught in a full-body hug from their golden-hearted Little One. 

It doesn’t matter if they were gone for five minutes or five days. They’re reunited, and it feels like magic.
